How well do OneCare and Windows Home Server play together?

Greetings all,

I am thinking about setting up a Windows Home Server and am curious about
using OncCare with it.
I know that the Home Server is perfectly capable of performing its own
backups (via a small program that must be installed on each "client"
machine).
But what of OneCare? Does it know about Home Server and vice-versa? How well
will they play together?

Thanks all,
-Stan

Hello, Stan.
OneCare knows about Home Server and sort of vice-versa. OneCare will recommend
that you use WHS backup when it sees the Connector installed. WHS doesn't care
if you also use OneCare backup, but it will throw a network warning if the
Security Center on any PC attached the the WHS box is at risk due to a problem
with virus or firewall protection.
I have OneCare on multiple machines here and all of them are using the WHS
connector and backing up to WHS overnight.
