Hello,

From what I've read the backup feature in Live OneCare won't backup all system files, *.exe included. (Hint to Microsoft: Doing a complete system image from Live OneCare backup would be a nice feature for an add on program thats already being paid for)

Re: configure *.exe files

Unfortunately, the only way you can backup exe files with OneCare is to rename
the file extensions or add them to an archive, as exe files are excluded from
backup natively.

Re: configure *.exe files

It would not really make sense to backup .exe files. You can always
reinstall. If your HD crashes and you restore your .exe files they won't
work most likely. They rely on registry entries, .dll files and a whole lot
of other stuff that gets installed. If you want to safe your configuration
you should invest in a whole-disk-backup solution like Norton Ghost or
Acronis Trueimage.
