| Guest | question for Stephen Boots Stephen, I've asked months ago about how One care will update. You suggested that if I had an account on file with credit card, it will update automatically. Apparently, it's in the process of doing this. I do in fact have the account on file and when I checked it- it just billed me as of June 1 for the update. My monthly reports also had indicated that it had the account and would update automatically. I noticed today that I couldn't load One Care- I'd click on the tray icon but nothing happened. I know that when it's doing any significant update it will turn itself off. I normally do a "sleep" with my Vista system. So, I did a "restart" and this time I could load the program. The monthly report indicates that the program will update but apparently hasn't completed the process. I think One Care is downloading a huge file for this- it seems that my router is indicating that it's actively downloading but I haven't received any message from Microsoft one way or the other. So, again, my account has been billed (yesterday) and my monthly report says it will update automatically, but so far, it apparently hasn't completed the process as I don't see within One Care any indication of my new subscription ending date. The update of your subscription status happens when OneCare checks for the updated credentials on the server, which should be within 24 hours if it renewed today. -steve "Joe" <abc@xxxxxx> wrote:
