| Member | Re: What RAM rates a 5.9??? I think that with nVidia's lates drivers they've not got the split Screen rendering dow yet. It defaults to single GPU and when you select force split Frame or alternate Frame rendering it warns that it's not a good setting for performance. Maybe in a few more Months things will be better especially when Vista SP-1 comes out. I llok at where my Mark06 score is and the systems above mine get into Water cooling etc. I know that with stock cooling the 8800 Ultra gets VERY HOT! I shut down one thest when they got over 72c I could just see the GPU smoking and poping, LOL! All I know is that my Rig plays games and runs my video editing software flawlessly so I'm to too concerned with Mark06 scores. |

This is 2GB (2 x 1GB) of DDR400 (PC1-3200) running in dual channel mode with an AMD Athlon 64 3500+ on an NVidia NForce4 motherboard at standard clock frequencies (automatic settings in the BIOS). A lot depends on your system, and whether you are using single or dual channel mode. The AMD processors also have the advantage of having the memory controller built-in to the processor, which means that data transfer to and from the memory takes place over a dedicated bus rather than over the system bus. |

| Newbie | Re: What RAM rates a 5.9??? ive got 4gb crucial ballistiz tracer...its overkill though...probably score a 10 if it went that high. best bang for your buck though. didnt have any problems installing it and its very stable. I would probably go with 2gb of 800mhz ram if you want the best performance/price ratio. i recommend crucial, gskill, kingston or OCZ. |

| Newbie | Re: What RAM rates a 5.9??? i think so. 2 gigs alone should get you to 5.9. try upping the voltage, make sure the speed is at 800mhz, and tighten the timings (start with -1 each) |
