Motherboard configuration changes....

At sometime after installing Vista, and fumbling around, I came across a window where the motherboard temps, and fan speed tolerances could be adjusted. I made a change to the motherboard temp setting, and now I need to change it back. The problem is that I can't seem to find that area again. Was this in Vista, or was I looking at another program? Does anybody know?

MB Asus P5K-E

Any Ideas would be appreciated.

Re: Motherboard configuration changes....

Depending on your MB, and what you installed for it, there may be a program that reads temps/fan speeds. If there is one, look in the folder that has to do with ASUS. Do you have a utility like Everest installed?

Re: Motherboard configuration changes....

I'm not sure what happened. I could have been looking at another utility. Whatever happened was causing problems with my cooling. I had just installed Bioshock as a test for my computer. It would only run for about a minute and then quit responding. I'm hoping that was because my MB temp ran past my setting and instead of kicking up the fans it shut down the program.

My solution has been a complete re-install of Vista. I will try loading Bioshock again tomorrow for the real test.

Thanks for your input.
