Re: overclocking ???

I would like to over emphasize that when your OC'ing a CPU always buy a third party CPU cooler, unfortunately the stock CPU cooler is not sufficient enough as temps will rise up and beyond which of course heat is a killer for any system.
Also, everybody's reason are different why they want to OC their system...do it for the right reasons, and be careful, as I have seen people who did not know what the hell they were doing and fried the computer.

your right in my view , it's a reason to learn about the workings ,to know what every bios setting does , brings control over a board that controls all the workings of your computor,
-when you see a computor eguipment on sale you can see the value or a rip off.
-it's a hobby
-but other than playing games and video encoding theres no point for most people.
-I like playing the big games [crysis]so my E8600 @4.1 and two overclocked 8800gts 512 are still lacking.
-But people that overclock could understand what I just listed. others can't relate to those specs.
-so if computors or games are a part of your life and you want to find out what makes it tic overclocking can give you that extended insight.
-and yes a 10% overclock relates to a 10% faster computor. DONE RIGHT
