Re: Post Your Overclock Results.

Well, Here it is, the latest and greatest edition to my system. I got the Q9650 E0 CPU. This thing rocks. It just smothers my old Q6700 in ease, temps, speed, everything possible!

I went ahead and figured I'd give this thing some good try's on a decent overclock. and it wasn't a few try's. it was just ONE.
On my VERY first try I got this bad boy to boot at 3.8 GHz. Rock solid Stable and with only 1.264 Volts... How ya like that guys.. Lightning Speed. I bet your lovin that. but don't worry. your Q6600 has some serious potential.
Also this thing is doing 3.8 GHz very easy. on my first try, with no problems. no BSOD's. and even better are the temps. I'm sittin pretty at 40/38/37/37
those are while on 2 different forums, and watching a movie on my second screen. Here's my idle. and some Proof for now til I get CPU-Z Val.

BOOOYA!!!

Re: Post Your Overclock Results.

I have not tried Super PI yet. I'll download it now. does that max the cpu, or just test speed.. not a load test right?

Also this baby is not anywhere near being finished on Overclocking.
right now It's doing this 3.8 GHz on 1.264 volts. thats nothing. Lower than my Q6700 stock. lol.

Also now that it's been a day and I ran Prime ALL night. I'm thinkin the few heat ups, and cool downs have helped my temps. as after a few heat cycles the AS5 start to cure, but takes more hours that that. more like 200 hours. lol but now my temps are much better than that picture.

at 3.8 GHz with 1.264 volts. I'm gettin idle temps of 34/32/32/32
Not bad at all.. plus I love how close together the last 3 usually stay.

I'll post later when I hit that 4.0 GHz I've only been able to dream about.

OK i went ahead and downloaded SuperPI.. figured I'd give her a try.

So I ran the 1M test and got that thing done in 12.2 seconds. is that decent?

Re: Post Your Overclock Results.

lol...... that's a great score!!!

you could probably head for the 10sec mark @4ghz, the only chips i have seen push below 10secs are the E8000s @ over 4ghz

that's one quick rig!!!

here's mine....
