| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Post Your Overclock Results. Not bad at all sir. I think you got my 1M time beat.. I got 11.90 seconds or something at 4.0 GHz on mine.. don't worry. I'll soon beat yours. hehe |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Post Your Overclock Results. Thanks guys I wont be staying that high, it was only to see how far I could push it and the vcore was 1.52v after vdroop, gone back to 3.8Ghz for now. ![]() Xguntherc do you have anything good that monitors all your chipset temps, I tried Everest and its is saying that mobo temp is at 119c at stock speed and volts and it was 121c at 4.5Ghz, seems very high. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Post Your Overclock Results. Mobo at 121c.. lol. thats not right.. it would start melting. I think my Motherboard is around 35c. I think Speedfan monitors all that. but I don't worry about my motherboard. I have enough fans in my case that it's ok. Main worries are CPU and GFX card. and I watch both of those. |

| Vista Ultimate w/SP1 (32-bit) and Windows 7 Build 7000 (64-bit) | Re: Post Your Overclock Results. ![]() (Temps after running Prime95 for 10 minutes) I haven't even bothered to OC my graphics card because none of the games I play a lot require it. Crysis is the only game that can push the 8800 GTX to it's limits that I've played, and since the game is crappy and the multiplayer isn't worth it I see no reason to OC my graphics card at this time. 3DMark06 Results: Last edited by Freelancer852; 09-28-2008 at 11:14 PM.. |

| Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Post Your Overclock Results. Not bad freelancer.. question. is SpeedStep turned off.. does your CPU cycle down. or always stay at your speed of 3.0 GHz. also according to core temp your VID is 1.2000. thats one of the BEST I've seen for a Q6600. So either you have C1E or Speedstep enabled and it's messing up what the read is. or you really have a really good VID. and if thats it. 1.2000. you could get that thing to 3.6 GHz easily. although your temps should be better than that with a True at only 3.0 Ghz. what Thermal paste did you use. and have you ever tryed to reseat it. what are your idle temps? you should be able to clock it much higher. but 3.0 GHz is enough for the most part. |

| Vista Ultimate w/SP1 (32-bit) and Windows 7 Build 7000 (64-bit) | Re: Post Your Overclock Results. I'm using the paste that came with my Thermalright Ultra-120 at the moment. I'll check if SpeedStep or C1E are enabled on my Striker Extreme when I start up tomorrow, but I've never turned them on and I doubt they're on by default. I've never reseated my CPU, although I originally had an Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2.4GHz in here... When I got this processor I just pulled the other one and replaced it with this one. Here are my idle temps: ![]() All I've done to OC this processor is change the FSB and use the "Auto" setting for the RAM clocks (they're about 1000MHz instead of the default 800MHz). EDIT: Checked the SpeedStep and C1E settings for you xguntherc and BOTH are set to "Disabled" like I assumed. I also disabled all of my Spread Spectrum options while I was checking, figured I didn't need em on and if it's limiting something, then it's limiting the power of my PC! EDIT EDIT: I overclocked my GPU a little bit today (clocked it up to BFG 8800 GTX OC clocks) and gained about 200 points on 3DMark... Last edited by Freelancer852; 09-29-2008 at 04:10 PM.. |
