Help overclocking X48-DQ6

Hi,

I was wondering if any one has overclocked a Q9450 on a GA-X48-DQ6 motherboard. I havent overclocked before and was wondering if I could get some advice on what settings to use. Also thinking of getting Zalman CNPS9700NT cpu cooler if I OC. If there is a better recommendation I would be glad to know.

I am not sure how much I should change the voltage, Vcore etc.

My specs are:

CPU: Q9450
Mobo: GA-X48-DQ6
Ram: OCZ Platnium 6400 (800mhz) 2GB x 4
Case: Antec 900
CPU fan: Stock
GFX: Gigabyte Radeon 4850
PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower 600W

Thanks,

Get a Thermalright Ultra 120 or IFX-14, it's much better than Zalman 9700

Re: Help overclocking X48-DQ6

The Zalman is a great cooler, I have the 9700 and my q6600 runs at 38c(Overclocked to 3.4Ghz mind you..) and in the low to mid 50s on load.

Have you tried searching online for overclocking that particular processor/motherboard? Might be your best best.
