| Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | New RivaTuner I have to admit that I wasn't sure where to put this thread - to software or to overcklocking section. I decided to put it on the latter one as it is an overclocking tool (though not only) in the matter of fact. But to get to the point... After I managed to find and download the correct 2.20 version of it (because on the guru3D site the download section is not accessible for me, and the download link itself points to the 2.11 version) and installed it on my computer, when I tried to run it I get the message that the 'RivaTuner64.sys cannot be loaded' and to ensure that I have the driver signing enforcement turned off (which is already off, I double checked that). Even though I press YES on that messege for RT to turn off again this enforcement and reboot the system, RT still won't open and I get the same error message as before. Tried to revert to 2.11 version, but the problem didn't dissappear After reverting to 2.10 version RT managed to load, finally. Strange, because before I installed 2.20 version I was using 2.11 without any issues. My guess is that there's something wrong with this 'RivaTuner64.sys' file itself, or maybe there's something on my computer that prevents this new RT to load. Anybody here having the same issue? Any ideas what may be causing this problem, and how to solve it?________ I managed to find an application that may disable this driver signing enforcement for good, after I found some threads on other forums. Theoretically, when you type in Command Prompt the command "Bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks ON" this should disable it for you. But I still get that error message in new RT. The application I managed to find is VistaBootPRO, to be downloaded from http://www.vistabootpro.org/. And when I launched it it reports that this driver signing enforcement is already turned off! So I'm really confused right now... What I managed to find out also is that this RivaTuner64.sys file from RT 2.11 and 2.20 is not signed (yeah, I know, this driver signing enforecement should push this file without the error as it is not signed, but it doesn't...). The same file in version 2.10 is signed, and this version runs smoothly on my system... What can I do to make new RT run on my system? Last edited by Majkel; 11-21-2008 at 04:53 AM.. |

| Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: New RivaTuner At first place I didn't have that file with the installer. Searched a little more and I managed to find one with this file. This time it opened fine, without the previous error... but the thing is I cannot overclock with it! Even when I enable the overclocking function in RT the clocks on my card are not detected at all, or detected incorrectly (even after restart). After reboot GPU-Z states that my card's clocks are at 0Mhz... which is impossible, isn't it? And I still cannot change it to even it's defaults... First I made a clean install of RT (removed the previous one and installed new), and this issue now appeared. So I again uninstalled it, reinstalled the 2.10, checked if the clocks are correct, and they were ok, then over it I installed the new one... no result whatsoever, my cards clocks are still at 0Mhz after reboot... WTF? Any ideas? I'm running on 180.48 WHQL Forceware drivers... |

| Vista Ultimate x64 SP1 | Re: New RivaTuner installed same driver too,but rivatuner poped up massege "not compatible with this driver version" then found the 2.20 version of rivatuner for this new driver.now all works fine and i got full accsess to overclocking drivers for my card.try firt to uninstall completely the nvidia drivers and rivatuner then clean up your registry and reinstall all over again-it looks like a problem of multiple drivers overlay |

| Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: New RivaTuner Well, I uninstalled video drivers (removed the video card from device manager, uninstalled also PhysX), uninstalled RT, cleaned registry using Driver Sweeper from Guru3D, and after reboot I installed video drivers again. But the issue is still there after installing the 2.20 RT I still cannot overclock the card... and it's clocks like before are at 0Mhz level... Using the 2.10 RT I can access those settings without any problems and the card itself runs fine after overclocking. Well, I don't know but it seems to me that I will have to stick with the older version. Unless ofcourse you have any other ideas what may be causing this situation. |

| Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: New RivaTuner I really don't know what is going on... I reinstalled the drivers again, extracted them and replaced that INF file with the one from the site you pointed, reinstalled RT using the 2.20 version from your source... and no change ![]() On version 2.20 of RT when I access the overclocking section, and when I click this 'enable' checkbox the window appears to detect the card clocks but when I hit detect the settings goes back to disabled mode, like on screen below... ![]() The same thing under version 2.10 works for me perfectly... |
