I don't know how similar the P5Q-EM BIOS is to my P5Q-PRO, but be prepared for being unable to unlink the FSB Strap...

As for juice, depending on your goal, you'll probably just need to up the CPU Voltage/Vcore.

When I was running 800mhz RAM @ 849mhz (the link in action), I didn't have to adjust the RAM voltage at all.

Is the FSB link strap like the divider? do you mean i can't change the divider at all like from 1.1 to some other ratio?

Hows the overclocking on the pro version going for you, had any problems with the motherboard?

You can get it to 1 to 1 or other ratio's but it's dependant on what you set the FSB and FSB strap to. ie You don't get much choice

The board overclocks very well but I have had a niggly stability issue since day one. However it's hard to say whether it's the board itself, a faulty CPU or a BIOS setting that is just a little off (user error). If I were to put money on it, I'd say it's the latter as there are some options I haven't tried yet. (there are a lot of options )

Personaly if I were to get another asus ddr2 board, it would be the deluxe simply because it has better stock NB cooling and allows more control over the GTL settings.

Thanks for the responses everyone, my case only allows for uatx boards the PQ5-EM fit the bill in my price range & had a slight edge over gigabyte alternative with the G45 Express chipset, the PCI express 2 X16 BUS was shared on the gigabyte board even when using a graphics card. I was after the older version of the board by asus, can't remember the name now but it was out of stock everywhere now & end of line. Came across this the PQ5 instead, it's very feature packed for a uatx board. I think the strap problems are because of the intel chipset according to asus they are anyway? Still for an uatx it's pretty sweet spec wise.
