Speedfan, and everest i think are really close to each other everest gives you way more temps.

i have speedfan running all the time just due to its smaller footprint. but if i really want accurate temps i open up everest.

i also have Speedfan running constantly, it shows my mobo temp at all times in the taskbar....

some ppl cannot get on with it, but on my rig it reports temps perfectly in alignment with other apps like ''Everest'' & ''Asus probe''

I have speed fan and it shows totally unbelievable temperatures like somewhat like 92 for GPU 99 for CPU and -2 for sys temp. But i use CPU ID and the soft with my mobo which somewhat believable temps. but the only temperature i believe is from the CMOS.

I overclocked mine Intel Core2Duo 1.6 to 1.8 i dont know its limits

But anyway i run my e6600 at 3.6Ghz thats a 50% overclock on the stock 2.4Ghz and run my FSB at 450 which is a 69% overclock. All stable and use the pc everyday including gaming etc...
Same for me with my q6600. (two e6600's on 1 die. )
