Re: Keeping Cool This Summer

yeap! i'm looking in replacing the screen it collects too much dust too quick! hence got to clean it almost every day!. i'm looking to replace it with a srceen with wider holes.
As far as the temps they are arond 100F in idle before +110F. and on 100% load 135F before was 145F

So 10 degrees is a small but significant difference. and all for the cost of some aluminum foil, some glue, and the little time spent doing this project. (the cylinder and the screen were a donation from my dad, THANKS DAD!!!)

Re: Keeping Cool This Summer

Not bad temps considering it's a stock cooler.

Re: Keeping Cool This Summer

yeap! one goog thing about this CPU is that it came with a massive heat sink with copper pipes. and the fan can reach the 6K rpms or more if needed. it does the job. cant complain.

And for the temps in general cant complain either, due to the fact of the ambient temps here in P.R. 80's and 90's
So for an air cooled system is not too bad!

Re: Keeping Cool This Summer

You wanna know my wasteful solution for keeping my components cool?

Its called the ANTEC 1200.

The thing cools better than any full tower ive seen. even the cosmos and stacker!...(i may be over exaggerating there)

Im buying it in a week for only 150$, as it post's a 170-200$ pricetag.

Hey MDA400 !!! sweet box!!!! I saw that box in CompUSA, and it did caught my eye, so i guess if it does the job it claims to do, then the money is all well worth it.
BTW not that i care much about noise, as long as the system is cool, how is this box with noise? and the bulid materials. is it ready for a pounding? It looks like it only have 3 Bays available. Can this be modified? i mean if you ever need to put in more DVD, or a b-ray, or any other device, can you take out one of the fans and use that space?

This thing can run anything in it. it was made for cooling in mind (as you can see).

You can even get a 200mm radiator for watercooling, to attach under the big 200mm fan on top.

Fits any size and length graphics card, power supply, but only up to standard ATX mobo's. there's plenty of room to mod it and the noise depends on if your going to run it fully (which i will for kicks ).

I'd say about 35-45 db at highest fan settings
