ALMAN 9500A 92mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler with evga 790i ultra sli

i have a problem, i bought the zalman 9500A for my 790i ultra sli motherboard but the northbridge heatsink gets in the way, the "clip lever A" won't snap in the "lug" if anyone have managed to install it i would appreciate it if you help me, because I'm about to return it. -thanks

Have you tried rotating it about 90 degrees to see if it fits that way? You should be able to rotate the bracket, so it fits on at a different angle. If you do, then it's best to have it blowing out the top of the case.

Seems you can't do the suggestion I posted as the 9500 uses different fittings to the 9700, which is probably why the 9700 seems to work.

and does anyone know of other zalman coolers that will fit with the ultra 790i or any other good quality cooler-thanks

um............ look into the coolermaster v10.... or something along that line... i think its nautica that makes cpu coolers they have some good ones

lol.....if he's got trouble fitting the Zalman 9500, i dont think this monster will be much better...



its not a very good cooler IMO, i'd look at ''scythe'' coolers, they've got some great heat sinks...
