Fresh install powershell v2

I try install PShell 2.0. it's tell me uninstall powershell v1 but i have not
entry in appwiz.cpl (add/remove program) so i delete the reg key. Now i can
install the ps v2 but i get error message in startup about load and convert
of file.

So i want uninstall all powershell software and reinstall fresh powershell v2

Re: Fresh install powershell v2

PowerShell 1.0 appears as a hotfix Add/Remove. In order to see it, you had
had to tick the "Show Upadtes" checkbox.
Can you post the full error text?

There are many systems that do not show Powershell V1.0 in add/remove
panel. See message
http://groups.google.com/group/micro...9fb9aa041742aa

I wish someone would address this - besides from wiping the disk and
reloading the OS.
Thanks,

Re: Fresh install powershell v2

Hi Shay

It's ok, i desinstall the version 1.0 and reinstall v 2.0 and it's ok for
the startup message. But i can't access help if i put "get-help" i receive
the following message

"Get-help :Cannot find help for topic "default"
At-line:1 char:9
+ get-help"

and if i type "get-help get-alias"
this the following message "

"Get-help : Error loading help content for get-alias from file
"Microsoft.Powershell.Commands.Utility.dll-help.xml". Detail :
Microsft.Powershell.CommandsUtility.get-help.dll.xml.
At-line:1 char:9
+ get-help <<<< get-alias"

What's wrong

Re: Fresh install powershell v2

Good question :-)

Can you locate the file? Does it exist on the specified path?

Re: Fresh install powershell v2

well i think you _may_ have made your system a bit unstable when
manually killing the registry stuff before uninstalling it... i'd
suggest a fresh install.
