| | Re: PowerGadget : How to run at clients (compiled version ?) Its probably best to ask this on the vendors own forum. However my guess is that a) powershell and dotnet 2.0 will definately have to be preinstalled, as even though there are some techniques to package these together , nobody has a license from Microsoft to do so.. so Powergadgets cannot distribute the dotnet framework nor powershell itself b) because .pgt is not .exe i presume this is also the case.. though its possible for a vendor such as them to self generate an executable that contains their libraries and code, and links ot the powershell engine, but i doubt they do this. Also i presume also that your remote client would also have to have a license of PowerGadgets . Otherwise, you can export your gadgets to a simple image file, and pass it around like that. | | Re: PowerGadget : How to run at clients (compiled version ?) When you think about it a bit, it only makes sense that a user will require some PowerGadget installation since the gadget will at a minimum need access to the various PowerGadget cmdlets and the charting control.
