| Guest | Uninstalling powershell I've tried to uninstall windows powreshell. but the it's not listing under the "updates" tab of Add Remove Program list. What can I do now? I'd like to try the new beta version. Is there any method to remove it? Regards, Sarath |

| Guest | Re: Uninstalling powershell I'm not sure if Office 2007 Service Pack can cause the *damage, I meant any OS service pack? Try to remember it's important, this link explains why: http://blogs.msdn.com/powershell/arc...2-upgrade.aspx ----- Shay Levi $cript Fanatic http://scriptolog.blogspot.com

| Guest | Re: Uninstalling powershell Thanks for your reply. Sorry, I am not exactly remembering. because after installing powershell I uninstalled many updates including Office 2007 Service Pack. -- -Sarath "Shay Levi" wrote:

| Guest | Re: Uninstalling powershell OK. I doubt the following point. I dint uninstall powershell 1.0. but I tried installing CTP release. on the first attempt it asked me to install WS MAN and provided a link for that and I installed that. On the next time I tried the setup again. This time it said like previous version of PowerShell should be removed before installing this version. when I looked in to the updates page, it's not showing anything to uninstall powershell. -- -Sarath "Shay Levi" wrote:

| Guest | Re: Uninstalling powershell On my computer, PowerShell CTP doesn't show in the "Updates" section. It appears as a regular application by the name of "Windows PowerShell(TM) V2 (CTP), can you locate such entry? ----- Shay Levi $cript Fanatic http://scriptolog.blogspot.com

| Guest | Re: Uninstalling powershell I'm not sure about the CTP, but Powershell 1.0 should be listed as a Windows component/feature. Go into Add/Remove Programs and look at the list of Windows components. You should see an entry named "Windows Powershell." Just uncheck that entry and save changes to uninstall Powershell. | Guest | Re: Uninstalling powershell Just a word of caution...PowerShell 2.0 is not in beta yet. It is in a CTP form, which is pre-beta. I only mention this to make sure you understand so that your expectations aren't too high. You can read all about the CTP on the PowerShell blog. -- Kirk Munro [MVP] Poshoholic http://poshoholic.com "Sarath" <Sarath@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:15294F64-E8A0-4889-AC88-925AA77493EA@xxxxxx
