| | How to close open file handles? We've been trying to answer this question from a forum member on PowerShellCommunity.org but so far no luck. Here's the forum thread: http://www.powershellcommunity.org/F...c/Default.aspx Paraphrasing his request: 'Trying to develop a script to go out and close all open files using the filename(or portion thereof) as the search parameter.' The files are opened remotely (file server). He doesn't want to use an external executable like handles.exe. There are some Vbscript examples around using [ADSI]WinNT://$server/LanmanServer (http://www.scriptinganswers.com/arch...enAccessDB.htm), but nothing we're finding seems very reliable. Thought I'd widen the audience and see what happens. -- Hal Rottenberg Blog: http://halr9000.com Webmaster, Psi (http://psi-im.org) Co-host, PowerScripting Podcast (http://powerscripting.net) |
