Could someone tell me whether PowerShell would be fully functional
under V. Home Premium ? I've spent some time looking through MS
web docs, with no success. V.Home Premium doesn't recognize a
number of WSH commands... is this also true of PowerShell ?

i'm not quite sure. But i believe you are right. At least with Home Basic.

Works fine afaik. I use Vista Home Premium. You'd obviously need to be
conscious of aspects of Vista, such as UAC, when running administrator level
commands, and elevate your process accordingly, if necessary. There's a
specific installer for Vista, which I'm sure you will have already
discovered if you've searched the MS pages.

I'm not aware of any wsh commands that it 'doesn't recognize' either, unless
it's a particular com object you're referring to that needs to be installed,
so you may wish to expand on that.
