Vista - ftp code

ftp code

looking to connect to ftp site
input username and password
change directories on the ftp site
upload file
disconnect

I can add the write-Verbose commands as necessary
BUT... Not sure how to add any error checking with the verbose commands if there are errors. example done in dos commands. sorry still not good in ps

ftp -s:c:\directory\ftp_info.txt ftp_address (this just points to the answer file for the ftp)

(ftp_info.txt answer file)
username
password
cd /ftp_directory
put c:\file_to_upload.txt
quit
