| | ImageResizerPowerToy for WinXP Hello I'am not sure, to be in the right newsgroup? Using WinXp Sp2, and have installed this Powertoy, to resize images. Can select pictures, rightclick them, and can choose the reolution, and convert. Well, but I want to convert about 10000 pictures.... Is there a way, to do it via C# or C++ with Visual Studio? Is this a COM Component? Or how can I access this resizer via batch or script? Thanks and best regards remo brigger |

| | RE: ImageResizerPowerToy for WinXP Converting pictures automatically can of course be done using PowerShell, but it might require some knowledge of the PowerShell scripting language or the ..NET framework. Are you sure that using a freeware image batch conversion tool is not sufficient for your task? Have a look at this tool, it quite advanced and has lots of batch features: http://www.evilone.us/irfanview/ In case this is not powerful enough for you, then maybe someone will take the challenge and post some interesting one liners to prove the power of PowerShell... ;-) -- greetings dreeschkind "remo" wrote: > Hello > I'am not sure, to be in the right newsgroup? > Using WinXp Sp2, and have installed this Powertoy, to resize images. > Can select pictures, rightclick them, and can choose the reolution, and > convert. > Well, but I want to convert about 10000 pictures.... > Is there a way, to do it via C# or C++ with Visual Studio? > Is this a COM Component? > Or how can I access this resizer via batch or script? > > Thanks and best regards remo brigger > > > |

| | Re: ImageResizerPowerToy for WinXP Hello Thanks for the link, but.... I had a look at this tool (download V3.98) and it is nice, but does not work correct: When I choose batch conversion & rename, select JPG/JPEG files, and press add all-> only the JPEG files will be taken, and them doubled (2 files will be converted for one source file???) And also the description about commandline, there is no way , to convert and rename, and set the output path... (As I tought, freeware is nice but it covers not my wishes) I've about 10'000 images in over hundret directories to convert But I'am familiar with .Net (not with graphik, but other tasks) And so, I will do the task for myself....(.Net or Shellscripting) Have you any samples or links ?? best regards and thanks remo brigger "dreeschkind" <dreeschkind@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B5C5112C-C9E8-4B9E-B66B-28ECD3B3A66F@microsoft.com... > Converting pictures automatically can of course be done using PowerShell, > but > it might require some knowledge of the PowerShell scripting language or > the > .NET framework. I've found a good sample in a blog entry from the official PowerShell blog dealing with converting images in Powershell: http://blogs.msdn.com/powershell/arc...25/583227.aspx This is a good starting point if you're not familiar with PowerShell yet: http://channel9.msdn.com/wiki/defaul...PowerShellWiki If you need any further help with PowerShell, this is the right newsgroup to ask questions. -- greetings dreeschkind > best regards and thanks > > remo brigger > > "dreeschkind" <dreeschkind@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:B5C5112C-C9E8-4B9E-B66B-28ECD3B3A66F@microsoft.com... > > Converting pictures automatically can of course be done using PowerShell, > > but > > it might require some knowledge of the PowerShell scripting language or > > the > > .NET framework.
