| | win32_service InvokeMethod fails. What am I doing wrong? Hi guys & gals, When I try to change the properties of a service using InvokeMethod I'm receiving the error: Method invocation failed because [System.Management.ManagementObject#root\cimv2\Win32_Service] doesn't contain a method named 'invokemethod'. The code I'm trying to run is: $svc = Get-WmiObject Win32_Service -Filter "name='pla'" $inParams = $svc.psBase.GetMethodParameters("Change") $inParams["StartName"] = $user $inParams["StartPassword"] = $pass $svc.InvokeMethod("Change",$inParams,$null) I'm running this in PowerShell on a Windows 2008 server using PowerShell that was installed via the Add Features option (i.e. v1.0.0.0). |
