Help File Formatting

The formatting flexibility via properties is not adequate. Perhaps help could
spawn a separate window. That window should present information in a readable
format that can be richly configured by the user. An HTML page would be far
better.

Beyond that, help needs to present Examples. There can never bee too many
examples. Command usage and syntax description is a nice start, but examples
are sorely missing.

Help does provide examples: use the -detailed or -full parameters of
get-help to see them, or you can directly access them by typing (get-help
anycmdlet).examples.

Try by adding -detailed or -full to your help query.

ie, compare :

help dir

help dir -detailed

and

help dir -full

Hi Jacques,

I think you need to :

set-date (get-date).AddHours(2) -confirm

:-)

Hi Jean. Not at all. The 2 hour difference is due to the fact that I wrote
this reply while being offline, and apparently OE timestamps email with the
time when you clicked "send", whether it was immediately delivered or not.

I remember that now.
Bad behavior as OE is unable to sort on server's messages IDs.

Re: Help File Formatting

in a future release of powershell analyzer.. there will be help which
will be embedded (but actually displayed in an internal webbrowser)..
that will show the full detail, but have headers as headers etc,
examples with syntax highlighting etc..

keep an eye out.
