Start-PSJob doesn't complete the backgroundjob

Hi everyone,

I' ve got a problem with backgroundjobs.
I tried:
Start-PSJob "get-process"

The State is "Running".

But when I type get-psjob, the State is Failed

I already started the configure-wsman.ps1 script.
I use Win XP SP3 and PowerShell 2.0 CTP

Can somebody give me a hint what I'm doing wrong?

Best regards
Markus

RE: Start-PSJob doesn't complete the backgroundjob

I assume you are using CTP 3.

Back ground jobs rely on wsman being installed and configured correctly.
The CTP 3 version on wsman only runs on Vista and Windows 2008.

You won't be able to run these features on XP with CTP 3

Hi Marco,

a thousand thanks for your answer. I already read the blog. But when I saw
that the state is "Running" I was confused.

Thanks
Markus
