| | PSScriptRunner - run a PS script with no window flashing on screen www.databatcher.com/freestuff/PSScriptRunner.zip From the Readme:- PSScriptRunner This ultra-simple Windows GUI application will run PowerShell.exe in such a way that the PowerShell window is not shown on screen. Although a GUI application, no window is created. This application is of use when you want to run a PowerShell script without any interactivity, and without any window flashing up on screen briefly (which can be annoying). The app launches PowerShell in a separate process and then quits. Having a windowless GUI application is actually better than creating a console application, which will currently always cause a Cmd.exe window to be created. The arguments on the command line of this application are based straight through to PowerShell.exe. Requires Windows PowerShell RC2 or later. Also requires .NET 2.0. Please look at Program.cs before running, and check that you are happy with what this application does. The actual executable file is called "PSScriptRunner.exe", and it's in the \bin\Release subfolder (ignore "PSScriptRunner.vshost.exe"). BTW: if the app is unable to run PowerShell for any reason, it will append an error message to "PowerShellScriptLauncherNoWindow_Errors.txt" in your My Documents folder. Use at your own peril. No warranties made or implied. Your mileage may vary. and so on... Enjoy! Andrew Webb Micro Inspirations Ltd. http://www.databatcher.com |
