| | I cannot upgrade to Vista because I cannot uninstall PowerShell 1. Have XP w/SP3, cannot see PowerShell in Program list or hotfix. set HKEY... to 0 per previous threads, no luck. how can I install Vista if it keeps saying to delete PowerShell which I never knowingly installed and cannot find? -- Vista WannaBe |

| | Re: I cannot upgrade to Vista because I cannot uninstall PowerShell1. Try this, maybe it will work on Vista too. It's what I had to do to uninstall Powershell V1 from WinXP before I could install PS V2 CTP3. | | RE: I cannot upgrade to Vista because I cannot uninstall PowerShell 1. It is not listed as powershell, bur rather as an update (KB928439). See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950376 for details. | | RE: I cannot upgrade to Vista because I cannot uninstall PowerShell 1. Thanks for the responses. I had previously read the referenced articles but they all require the program list to display power shell which it does not. I was able to fix the problem by deleting the main power shell registry entry and the program's folder. -- Vista WannaBe "Brad" wrote: Quote: > Have XP w/SP3, cannot see PowerShell in Program list or hotfix. set HKEY... > to 0 per previous threads, no luck. > > how can I install Vista if it keeps saying to delete PowerShell which I > never knowingly installed and cannot find? > -- > Vista WannaBe |
