The download link on the page has only one link for Windows XP, and it is 32-bit only. PowerShell 2.0 CTP3 supported these operating systems: * Supported Operating Systems: Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2; Windows Server 2008; Windows Vista Service Pack 1; Windows XP Service Pack 3 This release of Windows PowerShell installs on x86 and x64 platforms of Windows XP-SP3, Windows Server 2003-SP2, Windows Vista-SP1, and Windows Server 2008. So was Windows XP x64 dropped purposefully, or is this a mistake? Or, will the download for Windows Server 2003 x64 work for XP x64, since these two operating systems share a common codebase? Thanks, Chuck |

| | Re: PowerShell V2 is RTM for Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008 I don't have time to try this out, but if you have tried and it fails, then you're out of luck with v2 as a supported configuration. As for XP and 2003 being similar, I wouldn't make that assumption. That's the case with Vista and Server 2008, but I don't think it applies previously. Marco |

| | Re: PowerShell V2 is RTM for Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008 See the comment in http://vmjunkie.wordpress.com/2009/1...4-not-so-fast/ It says that the Server 2003 x64 version installs OK under Windows XP x64. Just passing along the comment, I have no experience running XP x64, so I could not verify it. - Larry Marco Shaw [MVP] wrote: Quote: > Quote: >> So was Windows XP x64 dropped purposefully, or is this a mistake?
