Vista - get-WmiObject -Query parameter

I think this error is wrong (the query is valid but gwmi expects a class
(to make its query ;-)) :

MowPS>gwmi 'associators of {Win32_Directory.Name="c:\\foobar"} where
assocclass = Win32_SubDirectory role = GroupComponent'
Get-WmiObject : Invalid query
At line:1 char:5

next to this confusing error a -query parameter would be nice,
as much VbScript files contain queries like this, it would be nice to
have a 'native' was to do a query
