| | get-WmiObject -Query parameter I think this error is wrong (the query is valid but gwmi expects a class (to make its query ;-)) : MowPS>gwmi 'associators of {Win32_Directory.Name="c:\\foobar"} where assocclass = Win32_SubDirectory role = GroupComponent' Get-WmiObject : Invalid query At line:1 char:5 next to this confusing error a -query parameter would be nice, as much VbScript files contain queries like this, it would be nice to have a 'native' was to do a query gr /\/\o\/\/ PS workourounds : (gwmi Win32_directory -filter "name = 'c:\\foobar'").getrelated($null,"Win32_SubDirectory",$null,$null,$null,"GroupComponent",$false,$null) (new-object Management.ManagementObjectSearcher('associators of {Win32_Directory.Name="c:\\foobar"} where assocclass = Win32_SubDirectory role = GroupComponent')).get() for more info http://mow001.blogspot.com/2006/05/p...tories_25.html |
