Help error on Out-String -width

The help says that the default value is 80 but how can you state that in a
static help file? Doesn't that value vary depending on the width of the
console?

Besides didn't the default console width change to 120 for RTM bits?

Re: Help error on Out-String -width

Just a remark. Recently I implemented a PowerShell host in a console
application, buffer width is, say, 160. I am surprised that Out-* formatting
still uses width 80. So I have to specify this parameter every time I use
Out-*. Perhaps, that is what they mean "by default", but PowerShell
ConsoleHost actually adjusts this value to a console buffer width.

I would like to know what I should do in order to change this default width
80 in my host. I suppose I have to implement something in host RawUI, am I
right? (my host now does not implement it).

Thanks,
Roman
