Vista Tutorial - Cannot install latest version

Hi,

I try to install the latest version of Powershell but I always get a
message which tells me to remove an earlier version of the product. I
think I have installed this earlier version but I looks like some
registry keys have not been removed.

Any hint how to force installation of the new version?

Depends on what you previously installed.

You may find that you just need to click the "show updates" check box in
Control Panel/Add Remove programs to see the previous install which you
can then de-install.

A few MVPs had pre-RC1 code that did not properly remove things. So the
second approach is to use regedit to remove all references to
PowerShell. This is what I had to do on my laptop - took around 5-6
minutes to find all the occurrences, remove them and get PowerShell RTM
installed.
