Newsgroups stats

Anyone know if there's any API to either tie into the MS NNTP servers or
even into Google news?

It would be interesting to provided stats on the number of article views,
for example.

There are no public APIs that I can recall.

You'd need access to the server logs - and I doubt that will happen.

It's possible to extract posting stats.

For example, the following URL returns posts by you on this newsgroup
during this calendar year.
