| Looking for a network tracing plugin I've looked at nSoftware's NetCmdlets, and those are cool. I'm in need of a network tracing library that can actually decode packets and all. I don't just want source and destination addresses, but the payload information also... Anyone know of a .NET library out there? Free would be preferable (but I won't hold my breath). Marco |

| Re: Looking for a network tracing plugin Let me know how this goes, but I what you are asking for is quite complicated. I personally HATE relying on external apps, but sometimes.... you just have to. So, until they make netmon a snap-in for powershell I would recommend using windump. its command line and you can parse the output. -- Brandon Shell --------------- Stop by my blog some time ![]() http://www.bsonposh.com/ ---------------------------------- "Marco Shaw" <marcoDOTshaw_@_gmailDOTcom> wrote in message news:OjtUgi9OHHA.4372@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... > I've looked at nSoftware's NetCmdlets, and those are cool. > > I'm in need of a network tracing library that can actually decode packets > and all. I did find a free .NET library sombody wrote, but couldn't seem to get it to work, and didn't have the time to play with it. Marco |
