Looking for a network tracing plugin

I've looked at nSoftware's NetCmdlets, and those are cool.

I'm in need of a network tracing library that can actually decode packets
and all. I don't just want source and destination addresses, but the
payload information also...

Anyone know of a .NET library out there? Free would be preferable (but I
won't hold my breath).

Re: Looking for a network tracing plugin

Let me know how this goes, but I what you are asking for is quite
complicated. I personally HATE relying on external apps, but sometimes....
you just have to. So, until they make netmon a snap-in for powershell I
would recommend using windump. its command line and you can parse the
output.

windump it is... I was not able to get anything else setup. I did find a
free .NET library sombody wrote, but couldn't seem to get it to work, and
didn't have the time to play with it.
