remove entry in "Start Menu"

Is it somehow possible to remove the entry in the start menu by setting a
flag during the installation or hoe can it be done?

I don't want my users to see this entry.

Thanks
Rolf

RE: remove entry in "Start Menu"

How are you distributing the install?

As far as I know there isn't a switch to prevent installation of the Start
menu items. You could write a PowerShell function to remove the entry.

in an AD environment you could probably use GPO to stop the entry showing

Re: remove entry in "Start Menu"

I use software distribution with /quite /passive /norestart. We are in an AD
environment so we could do a gpo to hide the entry but it would be much
easier when this could be hidden already during the installation using
either a flag or a customized msi package.
