Vista production code install

Windows PowerShell 1.0 RC2 English-Language Installation Package for Windows
Vista RC1 and Windows Server code named "Longhorn" IDS Build 5600 x64 Edition
(KB923569) will not install on Vista x64 production code. An error is
displayed that states " The update does not apply to your system".

Will this be fixed shortly, or are there any workarounds?

Rumour has it that a Vista version will be available soon. Hints are
that it might be in the next week or two.

There is a hack at
http://gaurhothw.spaces.live.com/blo...B275!106.entry
which others on this list have used. I'm told it works.

Yes. A vista version will be out soon. And yes, there is a workaround.
I blogged the steps at

Re: Vista production code install

Thanks for the heads up. I am sorry that I can't use these. I need the power
shell to install the console for Exchange 2007 which needs 64 bit for all
functions.

With the release this week of Vista to the publis, maybe the release will be
forthcoming.
