| | How to use Powershell in work environment I used to use Batch files for scripting because it was easy to push out and have people use. I have made a couple useful scipts in PS here at the office, but question their effectiveness to be used quiclly. Here are a couple questions I have converning this: #1. Does Powershell need to be installed and configured on every PC? My office has 150+ and it would take a while. #2. Can Powershell scripts be run quickly to gather stuff like system information without needing to go through all the certificate signing stuff? I do a lot of other the phone tech and usually send a BATCH file they an run to gather info. I doubt they are technical enough to use those cert managers. I wish there was a way to compile Powershell scripts into EXE or COM files so they were portable. Can anyone provide information about my concerns? Thanks. |
