| Guest | Powershell install on Vista I am having trouble installing Powershell on Vista. 1) I have downloaded Windows6.0-KB928439-x86.msu 2) When I try to install I get an error: 'Not enough storage to process this command'. Normally, I would believe that the disk is full, however, on this occasion there is 6 GB of free disk space. One more piece of info this is a Virtual Machine install, that said, it has been running daily since Janary without any problems. Should I believe that the disk is full, or could there be another explaination? Any ideas gratefully received. Guy P.S. Installed Powershell in Windows Server 2003 no problem. |

| Guest | Re: Powershell install on Vista Sorry to have troubled you, it was my 'user' error. In a nutshell I was installing the wrong file! Still, I could have used a friendlier error mesage. | Guest | Re: Powershell install on Vista The URL below goes back to a November 2006 Q & A Here however is a quote I somehow decided to remember (and then found to quote here). Of course we all know that there is now a Vista PS release. The Question 'Even though it's not technically supported, will PowerShell run on Vista, or will we need to wait for a Vista-specific version? The Answer You'll have to wait for the Vista-specific version (which should be out fairly soon). The current build will not install on Vista; I think it tells you that you don't have enough available disk space, regardless of how much disk space you actually have.' http://www.microsoft.com/technet/scr...day3qanda.mspx -- Please rate my responses - Thanks. http://www.geocities.com/dhamangry "Guy Thomas" wrote: > Sorry to have troubled you, it was my 'user' error. It was/is possible to install PSH on Vista but it was an unsupported hack. 2. There is now a vista ready installer and it works just fine.
