I think this problem was mentioned before but got the question in my blog
can not find answer :
get-WmiObject errors on win32_product with a Get-WmiObject : Generic failure

e.g.

Yes by searching "Get-WmiObject : Generic failure"
at group:microsoft.public.windows.powershell it
seems to have troubles.
