Dear friends,

I have tried to install Exchange Server 2007 under my new favorite Windows,
the "Vista" Longhorn Server. Unfortunately I wasn't able to install the
required PowerShell the normal way. I have reengeneered the setup procedure
to determine where the installer does what. After the manual "install" I was
able to use the PowerShell but the Exchange setup program crashed anyway
without any usable hint what in detail went wrong.

Does anybody has a work around or is able to tell me, whcih releases of
Loghorn Server and Exchange to use?

Dear Guys,

since the new Beta 3 (Escrow) release the Windows Power Shell has been
integrated as a Windows feature just like Microsoft announced. I will try
this version to satisfy my try-out needs.. :-)

Dear all,

using the latest Beta 3 of Longhorn Server and the Beta 1 realease of the
Service Pack 1 of Exchange 2007 (can be used for a clean install) gave me
the success I wanted to have... niCe... Only thing perople mighty miss is
the ability to host Unified messaging on Longhorn. Another point I didn't
determine yet is if you still need a Global Catalog running on a Windows
2003 SP1 box...
