powershell and the DLR?

>From Mix there's been a lot of talk about this Dynamic Language
Runtime, helping languages like IronPython, IronRuby et al to get
great performance on top of the CLR.

Well -- our favourite dynamic language from redmond is of course
Powershell!!

Has powershell been left out in the cold on this one? Or is there talk
of how it too can utilise the DLR?

Otherwise I can foresee powershell turning into .net's poor cousin.
And that would be tragic.

I did find this one small reference to powershell/DLR:

"Meanwhile, Hugunin said the DLR will be updated to support other
languages, including quite possibly PowerShell" (from
http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1895,2123861,00.asp)

Comeon team powershell! Give us the inside news!

I could imagine the team thinking "oh sure, where were ya with your DLR
three years ago when we needed this!". :-)

Re: powershell and the DLR?

I think this is a great question.

I am hoping there is a PowerShell Silverlight story.

I have wow'd fellow workers with PowerShell.

I played with John Lam's early RubyCLR and other versions.

After using PowerShell, it has helped me gain insight into Scheme, Ruby and
Python.

It'd be great to leverage PowerShell on the web.

:-) !!!!

They way you should think about this is that a bunch of the concepts and
features that we implemented in PowerShell are getting baked into the CLR
for consumption by all languages. This is a VERY good thing.
