Setting media file tags from PowerShell

Hi.

I'm trying to use PowerShell to add media tags to my podcast downloads, i.e. to set the Genre, Artist, AlbumTitle, and Title attributes on WMA and MP3 files.

I've seen Keith Hill's blog about GETTING metainfo at http://keithhill.spaces.live.com/blo...3A97!186.entry, but, unfortunately, the Folder object in Shell.Application appears only to have a GetFileDetails() method and no SetFileDetails() method.

The only Microsoft API I've found for setting media tags is the IWMHeaderInfo Interface in the Windows Media Format 11 SDK (http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa388402.aspx), which seems fairly low-level and not readily accessible from PowerShell.

Any suggestions for a way ahead?

Best regards,
Audun GJERKEN
