| | how to run a script without a window Hi. Is it possible to run a scheduled script without a window? My script runs twice an hour and the window, although it's there only for a couple of seconds, is disturbing. -- Antti |

| | Re: how to run a script without a window I've been watching my Vista machine closely, but I do not see any action popping up, even though the script runs. Maybe it is because I told Task Scheduler to run the task even if there is no user logged on... Rick >Antti wrote: >> Hi. >> >> Is it possible to run a scheduled script without a window? Events 1517,1524 (registry in use) get logged every time the script runs. Can't have that either. -- Antti |

Are you running the scheduled task with the same credentials as the currently logged on user or different? |

Are you > running the scheduled task with the same credentials as the currently > logged on user or different? Scripts are run as a different user (who occasionally logs on). When logged on, there are no errors in the event log. Without the wrapper Powershell scripts pop up only if the user is logged on, of course. I installed MS's UPHclean service in order to get rid of the warnings. It works, but UPHclean's log events aren't too pretty either. I wish there was a clean and invisible way to run scripts. -- Antti |
