| | Re: Powergadets mvp - part 1 There are two licenses you can buy 1) Creator License: Used to create Gadgets 2) Client License: Needed to use gadget. As for Business need... You can create all sorts of Gadgets for you company and deploy them. You can use the Map gadgets for your Sales group. You can use the graphing for helpdesk and support. There are numerous reasons. I would need to know more about your company to see if it is good fit for you "IT Staff" <jkklim@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:u1pTfB1xHHA.4928@TK2MSFTNGP03.phx.gbl... > sorry the list of questions here, i did not follow up on the previous > threads as it is all about serial #, etc > > ok i've been to the powerggadets web site and watch its demo, looks > impressive ...kindly advise questions below > > a) i need to buy the "type" of gadgets ? | | Re: Powergadets mvp - part 1 Yes and Yes. You need the client and Powershell needs to be installed (not absolutely positive here, but im fairly certain.) Posting here is good. You can also go to the PowerGadgets site for a very helpful forum and blog: http://powergadgets.com/csPg/forums/default.aspx I agree with everything Brandon has already said. I do seem to remember that there's a way to call PowerGadgets without PowerShell, but can't seem to remember just right now (but will look into it). You would certainly miss out on being able to pipe data to PowerGadgets without having PowerShell installed. Yes, you'd need to be more specific on what type of business we are dealing with to help us determine how PowerGadgets would best fit/help you. Marco |

PowerShell is not required for PowerGadgets to run. Only the .NET 2.0 framework and PowerGadgets client are required. That being said, you would have to create the XML files to distribute using the PowerGadgets creator. Marco |
