What other script languages besides VBScript and JScript can be used with ScriptControl?

Bruce Payette shows how to use VBScript and JScript in PowerShell
scripts by using a ScriptControl object in his "Windows PowerShell in
Action" book. Can other languages like Perl, Python and Ruby be used
with a ScriptControl object?

RE: What other script languages besides VBScript and JScript can be us

It all depends on finding a version of your preferred scripting language that
supports the ActiveScript engine. I think there is a version of Perl that
does and an Internet search has found references to php

Re: What other script languages besides VBScript and JScript can be us

I got some examples of using an Iron Pyton engine from powershell

http://thepowershellguy.com/blogs/po...n/default.aspx

also you can find enbedded c# or VB.NET examples
all not using COM but .NET to use it inline from powershell

RE: What other script languages besides VBScript and JScript can be us

Basically any Scripting language that supports ActiveScripting should work.
This page has some links to a few engines (there are a lot more of them out
there):
http://www.it-visions.de/Scripting/S...ngEngines.aspx
You should also be able to host any .NET based scripting langue.
