| | Uninstall Windows PowerShell RC 2 My mission is to install Windows PowerShell v.1. However I first need to uninstall RC2. I have looked in Add Remove Programs, also Windows Components and I cannot find reference to Windows PowerShell anywhere. A quick check of the registry shows the PowerShell software key is present. Moreover, I can actually run PowerShell commands. The machine is Windows Server 2003 with SP2. I have ticked the 'Show Updates' button I have check the Software Updates in Add / Remove prog - no luck. What am I missing? Guy |

| | Re: Uninstall Windows PowerShell RC 2 Dear Marco Thank you for your rapid reply. I have checked the blog However Windows Server 2003 does not have a 'Display Updates' checkbox - that I can see. As I mentioned originally, I have ticked the 'Show Updates' and Windows PowerShell does not appear - that I can see! Supplimentary question: Does applyint W2K3 SP2 have any effect on PowerShell? Solution a: I wonder if anyone else (Reading this) has Windows Server 2003 SP2 and PowerShell RC2? If so they could confirm / deny that Guy is having a senior moment. Solution b: I could try a manual removal of anything to do with PowerShell RC2. | | Re: Uninstall Windows PowerShell RC 2 Dear Marco At least I am not going mad! I would like separate a big - 'Thank you Marco' from a big - 'Yarbooo sucks' to Microsoft. ----------------------- Going back to Windows 2!! You could frequently recover from UAE (Unrecoverable Application Errors). In the case of Uninstalling PowerShell RC 2 on Windows Server 2003, what is the situation with the work-arounds? a) Nobody knows - nothing bad has ever happened yet, but Microsoft want to cover themselves, with a disclaimer b) It really does cripple the Server.
