| Guest | export-csv question I am trying to convert a list of IP addresses to a new csv file that has the host name and ip address in it. I can get the dns name into the csv file but not the ip address. Here is my code so far; get-content "C:\ListOfIPs.txt" | % { [System.Net.Dns]::GetHostByAddress($_) } | Sort-Object HostName | Select-Object HostName | Export-Csv c:\HostNameIPAddress.csv How do I add another column with the IP address next to the host name into the destination file? Thanks |

| Guest | Re: export-csv question Use a calculated property: get-content c:\ListOfIPs.txt | % { [System.Net.Dns]::GetHostByAddress($_) } | Sort-Object HostName | Select-Object HostName, @{name = 'IP Address'; expression = {"$($_.AddressList)"}} | Export-Csv c:\HostNameIPAddress.csv -noType -- Kiron |
