Hi Jerin,
Should be no problem for a modern board but best to check with the manufacturer ....
GIGABYTE - Product - Motherboard - Overview - GA-8I865GM-775
Should be mentioned there ;)
It should be fine.
EDIT :
Swish to the Barman ;)
Thank you for your information it is mentioned that the Motherboard has 2 sata connectors but how to check weather it will support 500GB Hard Drive.
Is there a way for it.
Hello Jerin,
That motherboard will support any size SATA hard drive currently made. :)
Thx Shawn - If you say so I can Believe it .
Thanks again.
It should, but if for some reason it does not, then a newer BIOS update for that motherboard may allow it to. If still not, then you can also always split the drive into two partitions as well for it work. :)
Shawn when you say to partion the Hard Drive do you mean to make a partion and format it into NTFS so that we have a virtual Partioned Hard Drive - Or is there another way for Partioned - Im asking you this Because even if the Hard Drive is partioned in NTFS the Motherboard (BIOS) will recognize the Hard Drive as a 500GB or 1TB which ever is applicable....
