What would be the best of the best, 24X7 avaliability, SBS08 Server Scenario,
for 14 users. What would be top network structure, Hardware/Software wise? Is
it possible to achieve 24X7X365days.

Unless you don't count the reboots after patches, it is not possible to have
100% up time.
After that, you can probably do pretty well, but there are still unexpected
issues and planned issues.
I am not aware of any single server network with 100% uptime, and even
clusters can have issues. Maybe clusters of clusters.

The best you can do in SBS is redundant power supplies and fault tolerant
drive systems. A duplicate server, with a separate license on standby with
daily backups from the production and restores to the standby would also get
you good uptime, but what if the building burns down or there is an area
disaster such as Katrina or the World Trade Center? So then you have to
have a duplicate out of the building and out of the area.
Such is possible with hosted solutions, but they are of little use if there
is no internet in your town because of the hurricane.

Thank you for your reply Larry.
Of course, 24X7X365 meaning the best of the best with highest possible
uptime. Surely if maintenance is required what about backup DC, would that
help or suggested? Is it good idea to have users files synch on real time to
another NAS...etc, etc
Just need some ideas/suggestions to make it the best of the best Network
System.

If you chose high quality hardware, duplicate power supplies, fault tolerant
drives and over capacity UPS, you should be good. But stuff does happen.
In the 10 years or so that SBS has been widely used I have never had a
failure. It is a wonderful solution for as little as two to as many as 70
or so users, but it is not without its own quirks and if you expect to never
have a glitch you should have a test server to apply all the patches, wait
for a few days for most until the dust settles, and make good backups.
And, Use the Wizards.

Well, let's talk about full failover clustering in SBS. Yup, we've got it
now. Just as soon as I get a moment, I'll write it up. But think Live
Migration on Hyper-V R2.

@discussions.microsoft.com says...It's easy to have 24/7/365 and you don't have to apply any patches -

although it's a good idea to apply most of them.
A quality server will include Dual Power Supply units, a GOOD (read long
lasting) UPS that runs the server and network/internet components along
with the backup device for at least 60 minutes, commercial hard drives,
a real server class motherboard and quality software if any is installed
on the server itself.
I have many servers that have more than a YEAR up/time that are behind
secure networks and don't need the patches, but I have all our SBS
servers set to download updates and we normally install them about a
week after they come out - often forcing a reboot.
The longest server (not SBS) run-time I had was an old NT 4 SP3a server
with SQL 7 running on it and also a kernel level PLC application that
hit 3 years of 100% run time before I had to install SP updates on NT.
Le longest, practical, SBS 2003/08 uptime, only being rebooted because
of security updates, was about 130 days.

Thank you Charlie, full failover clustering sounds interesting.
