Hi,

Has anyone come across this before - every time I go to install SQL 2005
Express (SP3 or earlier) on the server it then proceeds to log of gracefully
and restart during any part of the initial install checks. This is a new
migration of SBS 2008 std from another SBS 2008 std running on and HP ML350
G5 Server...

You need SQL 2005 Express Edition "with Advanced Services" to update the
instance of SBS monitoring installed by SBS 2008. Is this what you're
using?

Hi Merv,

Thanks for responding. I was only requiring an additional instance to get
Sophos AV installed on the server.

I seemed to have resolved it now though, and strangely it only fixed itself
after carrying out a HP updates from the the Server Update Manager and the
Raid controller firmware...

Strange..
