Hi
Our primary Dell PERC 4e/Di RAID1 disk has two partitions C & D. As C is
running out of space we would like to delete D partition and merge it with C
to extend C partition to full size of RADI1 disk. How is this achievable?
Many Thanks

Have you installed Treesize Free to look for big fles and folders? I
cleared out 3 gigs of logs this morning from a server. Just 278 days
worth of logs in the system32/logfiles folder. Then I might clear out
old backup catalogs which might be another gig. Clear some temp files.
If you do monitoring you can click on the second box in monitoring to
flush out old monitoring database which could be a gig.
Have you moved ClientApps over to a new partition? Is the Exchange
database on the D or E drive?
How big is your C drive? I have juggled with 12 gig partitions. It is
a pain but it can be done. One Dell server had its raid 5 container
blow up. When I fixed it I went to a 30 gig C: parttion and did my
restore successfully. Now I have 18 more gigs of breathng room.

Check your SBS with the SBS Best Practices Analyzer
http://blogs.technet.com/sbs/archive...A/default.aspx
Extending the boot partition is not easy - usually you have to resort to
imaging or backup/restore. Avoid it if you can.
If you are looking to free up some space on your C drive with SBS simply
google "SBS2003 disk space" and you will get lots of info. I prefer having
the C: drive contain no user data - move that to the D drive. If you do
that even a smallish partition can be managed.
