Here is my tip: With any A/V product, special care must be taken to properly
set up file exclusions for the services you are using
(exchange/sharepoint/etc.) Since SBS loads so many services on one box
where larger organizations spread them out, it can be easy to overlook
exclusions and odd errors result down the road.

Exchange if it can detect it. I do not use the "Protection Suite", so I
can't specifically address that exact product.
While SEPP has built-in exclusions, I personally still add them in
manually.
You will also want to disable/not install the the Network Protection
part, it doesn't play well with a server like SBS in "my opinion".
I have SEPP installed at many locations, it's been far better at
managing workstations as well as catching many things that the version
10 product didn't catch - they adding in a lot more "things" that are
detected, not just viruses.

I concur with Leythos. SEP mow has built in excluding Exchange folders for
scanning so it is not necessary to manually input the exclusions. I'm no
longer on SBS 2003 and have since migrated to SBS 2008 but still am using
SEP v11.0.4204. Do not use the NTP or PTP on your server. Anti Virus and
Antispyware is all you need.

Thanks to all of you who shared "true" experiences.
I will go ahead with caution and follow your advices.
While I am here.... what in your opinion are the pros of SEPP + MAIL
SECURITY compared to TrendMicro?
Thanks again,
Dan

When you purchase SEP you are also entitled to the Symantec Information
Foundation Mail Security for MS Exchange and I find that it works just fine.
I believe if you want the spam filtering option that is extra.
